Catechism
Catechism classes are designed to hand on the Catholic faith and good practices to the young.
Catechism classes are graded by their grades at school.
We have a good number of properly trained catechists who teach our children.
We are always in need of catechists.
If you would like to instruct the young in the catholic faith please contact the parish priest.

This is called Good Shepherd Catechism in which we make the children feel at home as they enter the faith formation. We teach the children staring with the sign of the cross and other small activities. The class for the children of theses age group takes place on Sundays from 08:45 to 09:30 . After a few years of training our children will be prepared to receive the Blessed Sacrament for the first time. This training covers the format of the mass, faith-based values, the Catholic prayers, how to receive the Blessed Sacrament and the responses that are required. These grades are the children who are who have received the First Communion. We use the Lectionary based manuals to instruct the children. Some liturgically fun things which keeps them interested in learning the faith. The classes are on every Wednesday at 17:30. The children between these grades are prepared to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. They are prepared for over a period of 2-3 years depending on their level of understanding. The Confirmation class is run by Denver Simpson and Ailsa Mambinge every Monday at 18:30. Should you wish to send you child for confirmation classes, please contact the parish priest on 021 5315223.

The Youth and Young Adults portfolio seeks to cater for the inclusion and spiritual welfare of;

We seek to build a group of connected young individuals who are serious about their faith journey, who are committed to building the institutional strength of the parish and who play an active role in parish and community ministry. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), instructions are for the adults who wish to become a member of the Catholic Church. The instructions are given by the Priest and trained Catechists for six months prior to the celebration of Easter and on Easter night they will be received into Catholic Church.
